A new pyramid scheme seems to present itself on websites around the Internet.

http://openmail1.net/view.php/504892/3776922 request people to join a ‘Pay it Forward’ type movement whereby they are requested to pay 5 people whose names appear on a list a certain amount. The person joining the group will then send e-mails to friends and family requesting the same. This person will then place his name and banking detail at the number 5 position, which will move up when the next friend or family member will join.

This is nothing less than an illegal pyramid scheme and this scheme will eventually collapse when no new members are recruited into this scheme. The last members to join will generally suffer the losses.

Conducting an Internet search on the term “Prosperity through Generosity” clearly shows a large number of Internet adverts promoting this scheme.

Consumers are warned against becoming involved in these pyramid schemes.
